Hillcrest Wind Ensemble

I have played clarinet and bass clarinet in the Hillcrest Wind Ensemble since 1996.

I also perform a number of administrative functions for the group:

  • Secretary on the Board of Directors.

  • Webmaster

  • Email Coordinator

  • Social Media & Membership Coordinator

  • Sound Recording Technician

Maximilian Opera

I collaborated with John Winkelman (JohnWinkelman.com) to write an opera based on the life of Maximilian I, Emperor of Mexico (1864 - 1867).

​

The ill-fated story of Emperor Maximilian and Carlota intrigued John , who thought it would make an excellent opera.  He approached me to write the libretto, knowing that I had experience in writing and an interest in the arts and opera.

This opera has not yet been produced.
